London Life Drawing
Tendered Tips
Tips, tricks, and well kept secrets buried throughout London and beyond
One of the best kept secrets in London, for me, has to be National Gallery Lates.
Every Friday throughout the year The National Gallery opens its doors until 9pm and hosts events for the public- such as talks, tours, performances, life drawing (etc.)
I first found out about these lates last year when I was lucky enough to exhibit my own art work in The National Gallery. Ever since then, almost all my Friday evenings have been spent in the gallery.
The life drawing, I have done many times, and each time includes different life drawing companies, models, and sets inspired by different artists and art movements throughout the gallery.
Surrounded by the beautiful gallery, all equipment and drawing material is provided
It is Free! And you don’t need to book, you just turn up (but it t gets very busy so I would advise coming 20 minutes early to secure your spot.)
The materials are great quality, and the life drawing models are always fantastic.
There is something so poetic and luxurious about life drawing in the middle of The National Gallery, surrounded by the greatest artworks of all time, there is a fantastic vibe to the whole experience, and I definitely recommend it!
Check the National Gallery Lates on their website, to see future dates and events:

After life drawing this week, my friend Grace then took me to Barrafina for tapas, which was probably some of the best food I’ve ever eaten in my life!
(Location 9/10, food 10/10, setting 8/10, service 8.5/10, price 8/10. Overall 9/10)
We would definitely recommend the squid, the tomato bread, and the chicken. Well worth the wait.
